2013年9月22日。
この日は15時からThe Al Hirschfeld Theatreで行われるミュージカル『Kinky Boots』へ~
日曜日の昼の回のため前売り券で完売。凄い人でした。汗
2時間半くらいで閉幕し、この後NYCの夜景をみにエンパイアステートビル86階展望台へ。
マンハッタンの宝石をちりばめたかのような夜景を堪能♪
この後、NY最後のディナーって事で、奮発w
セントラルパーク近くの『Trump International Hotel & Tower New York』内にある
ミシュラン三ツ星の『Jean-Georges』へ。さすが、Trump International。
カジュアル過ぎて期待はずれの『New York Marriott Marquis』と違い、かなり良い感じ!
(ハワイのトランプインターナショナルも良い感じなんだろか?)
『Jean-Georges』内のバーで少し待って、席に案内されました。
まずはシャンパンで乾杯~♪ (ピエールジモネのハーフボトルを注文)
今回は『Jean-Georges’ Menu』をオーダー $198
まずはAmuse & Pans(チャパタ&全粒粉)
そしてコースへ。

もちろん美味しかったのですが、正直最終日になると少し和食が恋しくなってきてる感じw
今回NYミシュラン三ツ星の2店(Le Bernardin&Jean-Georges)に行ってみたけど、味に
関しては日本の三ツ星店の方が格段に上のような気がしました。
(日本人だからそう感じるのかもしれませんw)
今回は和食をアレンジした感のある料理だったので、日本人だと違和感を持つ人が多いかも!
(もちろん美味しかったんですが。。。)
ただこの2店ともに言える事ですが、フロアスタッフの身のこなしは日本よりも格段に上です。
(たまたま当たったスタッフが良かったのかな〜?)
場の盛り上げ方であったり、プレゼンテーションであったり、その場の料理を2〜3割増しに
美味しく洗脳させる能力に長けている気がします。(←ちょっと表現悪いかな?)
なのでこのディナーはとても楽しく満足のいくものだったのですが、レトロスペクティブに
見返すと、料理のインパクトはそんなに無かったような気がします。
ココが三ツ星なら、自分的には『ミシェル・ブラス トーヤ ジャポン』を四ツ星したい感じw
だったかな?(あくまで好みの問題なんですけどね。)

こうしてニューヨーク最後の夕食を済ませセントラルパークからタイムズスクエアまで歩いて
ホテルに帰りました。 (といってもそんなに遠くなかったw)
