Beyond the classic beef bowl, American Yoshinoya locations often feature a wider variety of options, including chicken bowls, pork bowls, and various side dishes like fries and salads.
Original Gyudon Beef Bowl (Regular)・$8.29
The default is White Rice, but you can also switch to Brown Rice or Udon.
Yoshinoya's beef bowls in the U.S. maintain the core Japanese flavors but are adapted to American preferences, offering a bolder, more savory taste. Portions are larger, with more rice and meat, reflecting the U.S. food culture. Prices are also about twice as much as in Japan, but still considered affordable for a quick and satisfying meal.
In Japan, Yoshinoya uses American beef short plates, so there’s not much difference in the flavor of the beef used in the bowls at Yoshinoya in the U.S. either.
For Japanese travelers, it’s not something you need to go out of your way for, but if you're a Yoshinoya fan, the fusion of Japanese and American flavors offers a unique dining experience that’s worth trying.

アメリカでは100店舗を展開する吉野家。
看板メニューの牛丼(Gyudon Beef Bowl)をはじめ、チキン丼やポーク丼、さらにはフライドポテトやサラダといったさまざまなサイドディッシュもあり。
Original Gyudon Beef Bowl (Regular)・$8.29
牛丼のベースは、デフォルトは白ごはんだが、ブラウンライスやうどんに変更可能。
具の味は、日本の味を基本に、若干甘さ控えめ、旨みも弱め、でも濃厚な味わい。レギュラーでも量は多めのアメリカンサイズ。
日本の吉野家はアメリカ産ビーフのショートプレートを使用しているため、アメリカの吉野家でも牛肉自体の味にあまり違いはなかった感じ。
日本人が旅行でわざわざ立ち寄る必要はないと思うが、吉野家ファンならその違いを一度試してみる価値はあるかも。
