店舗は、北本高尾の自然に囲まれた日本家屋。
どの席からも、お庭を眺める事ができ、お天気が良ければ、遠くに富士山も見える。
かなりの人気店故仕方ない事だが、土日祝日等は、待ち時間が結構必要。
時間に余裕のある時に訪れてほしい。
メニューは、蕎麦(せいろ・天せいろ・つけ鴨・つけとろ・ぶっかけ・おしぼり)。
冷も温もあり。
季節限定のものも時々登場。
他に、そばがきや団子等。
うどんやご飯ものはなし。
今回は、◆天せいろ 2000円 を頂いた。
お蕎麦は二八、細め。
弾力がありながら、のど越しもいい。
つゆは辛口。
鰹節の風味がふんわり。美味しい。
できれば、もう少し量が欲しいが。
天ぷらは、海老2匹とお野菜数種類。
お野菜は季節によって替わる。
今回は、ふきのとう、薇、タラの芽、うど、椎茸、蓮根。
衣薄めのパリッパリではなく、かと言って衣厚めでボテっともしていない、
ちょうど中間位の程良い揚がり。
食材自体の旨味が感じられる。
こちらのお店は、上尾のG師匠や三ちゃんのレビューで知った。
13年前になる。すべてが気に入って、あれから結構な頻度で訪問を続けているが、
13年間、変わらない。
お料理のクオリティも、女将さんの気さくな接客も、店内の雰囲気も、
そして、この天せいろのお値段もw。(13年間1円も値上げしていない)
『変わらないなぁ』と、客が感じられる状態をキープする事は、実はとても大変だろう。
新しいものをどんどん取り入れていく前向きなお店も大好きだが、
こちらの様に、10年以上も、拘りを守っているお店もあっていいと思った。
