A person of virtue doesn't generally seem to write a piece heaping abuse upon someone to avoid mud wrestle.
Even if Khun Thaksin had been certainly so bad, an abusive epithet as like the last paragraph would have made the international community only sad.

I was wondering if Thailand would mind playing a crucial role in the international community.
I’m not sure, but the writer's intention unfortunately couldn't persuade the international community at this time.
