京都ホテルオークラの別邸の京懐石。西陣の折本の別荘を料亭にしているため落ち着いた静かな山の手の雰囲気が大変良い。料理はレベルの高い京懐石で実に手の入った上品な味付けである。お吸い物の鱧の身のしまりは、時々東京で遭遇するる歯ごたえの乏しい鱧とは別の魚のように思えてしまう。お造りも西の魚の良いものを仕入れているようだ。肉の鴨と和牛の質の良いものを優しく調理してある。量的にも過剰ではなく〆の炊き合わせご飯も控えめで上品。この季節は蛍の鑑賞が楽しい。かわいらしい舞妓さんや芸妓さんの踊りも堪能でき、楽しい食事ができる。接待や外人さんにはうけるであろう。採点は舞妓さんや芸妓さんの接待と芸をふくめて。
