金沢3軒目。ちなみに昼は立ち飲みの金沢おでんでハズレを引いて、ぐったり。ちゃんとした店へ行けばよかった。金沢はランチ営業が多いし。天ぷらジャンキーとしては、金沢の天ぷらを試してみたいところ。
場所は金沢の繁華街である香林坊の奥の方。お隣が人気フレンチだったのにはびっくり。予約の時間から少し遅れたのですが、カウンター8席の入りが30分くらいブレていたので、それほど細かく考えてはいない様子。確か元々鮨屋の居抜きだったようで、和の雰囲気はあるものの、少し天ぷら屋っぽくないカウンターでした。でも、言われなかったらわからないと思います。
コース最初は先付、お造り、椀と定番コースですが、これがどれも日本料理店並みの仕上がりでびっくり。すごく美味しかったです。潮汁とか、すごく美味しかったな。天ぷらは、アタックも余韻も軽やか。油の重さが後を引くようなことはありません。油は一斗缶で継ぎ足していたので、ブレンドはしていないようです。油の切り方も自然な感じで振ってるだけだったので、この口当たりには少し感心しました。塩は少し結晶化していましたが、ミネラルの旨味がしっかり出ていて、天ぷらによく合っていました。自分で足せるように、カウンターに塩が置いてあるのも良かったです。キスの代わりにハタハタを入れているようで。ハタハタは少し脂が乗りすぎているので、やはり天ぷらにはキスが正解なのかと思ったり。でも金沢らしさが出ていて悪くないと思います。それを差し引いても美味しいし。天茶の茶はやっぱり加賀棒茶なんですかね。ダシ茶漬けを期待してたので、少し残念でした。ネタ数が少ない割にお会計は高めなのが難点かなと思います。もう2~3品、野菜があると嬉しいんですけど。五郎島金時で丸十とかさ!追加オーダーできたのかもしれませんが、周りに合わせて〆てしまいました。甘味のイチゴと和三盆にも感動しました。和三盆って、ホントにひんやりするんですね。イチゴに砂糖かけただけなんですけどね、もうね、びっくり。
口コミ数が少ないのも、点数が低いのも不思議なくらい、良いお店だと思います。
