門前仲町交差点から永代橋方向に少し行くと、サーファーショップ見たいな外観の居酒屋があります。
ドアを開けて中にはいると右手が厨房とカウンター、左手はスタンディングテーブルが2つあり、壁側にはベンチになっているので着席してゆっくり呑むこともできる。
奥の方にガラスケースの冷蔵庫があり、右半分は世界のビールのボトル、左半分は地酒が一合瓶でずらりと並んでいて日本中の銘柄が揃っている。
ベトナムビールで喉を潤してから、日本酒に移って盛岡のあさ開きを江戸切子のグラスでちびちびと呑む。
摘みは鯵のなめろうと山芋焼き。
鯵は鮮度が良く味噌と合わせて細かく叩いてある。
山芋焼きは半月切りにした山芋を網焼きして山葵醤油で頂くだけの極めてシンプルな摘みでしたが、東北の素朴な地酒にはぴったりでした。
カウンターにずらりと並んでいる日めくりカレンダーは何かとたずねると、鳶の親方が年末挨拶に配ってまわるもので常連の親方からいただいたんだそうです。
この親方は山王祭りの幹部との事で、お祭りの話題で盛り上がって楽しい一夜を過ごしました。
