なかなか予約の取れない店らしい。
今春、お盆の休みくらいに予約が取れて飲みに行けたらいいねと
いつものオフ会メンバーで算段していたのが今年もあと三か月に
迫った10月になるとは。
半年掛けての大掛かりなプロジェクト?になってしまったようだ。
店は四谷の名酒店『鈴傳』で修業した主が料理の配膳や酒のセレクトなどを
また主の御母堂(何と!御年80歳、お若い!)が調理をそれぞれ担当する。
飲み物は日本酒(冷・燗)のみ、酒肴となる料理は1コースだけで
何とも潔しといった感じだ。
置いている日本酒と言ったら、店の壁一面に銘柄が書かれた紙が貼ってあるが
その数たるや… 予約と紹介をして下さった貴兄によれば500銘柄!?とも。
ココまで揃えている酒場は無論初めてであり、『圧倒される』という表現が正に
ピッタリと合いそうな店だ。
口切りは自分のリクエストでず~っと飲みたいと思っていた山間@新潟から。
新潟の酒らしく米の輪郭がくっきりとした豊潤な味の酒だ。
さてお次はと思案していると主のサジェスチョンは
「いい酒(有名な酒)はお早めに飲んで下さい」とのことなので
而今、十四代をダブルで頼むという何とも贅沢なオーダーを試みる。
以降は写真の通りの銘酒(隠れた銘酒も含む)三昧。
酒と一緒にたっぷりのチェイサー(水)が供されるので酒の銘柄を変える際
酒グラスに水を注ぎ、軽く濯ぎ、その水を飲みながら酒を飲めば
一石二鳥で過度な酩酊は避けられることも大虎には有り難い限り。
因みにこの日戴いた料理と寸評は以下の通り。
◇枝豆(突き出し的に)
◇ジャコと小松菜の和え物…シンプルながら日本酒との相性良し
◇肉じゃが…豚肉とジャガイモのみ、甘口の味付けなので辛口の酒に合わせたい
◇刺身盛り合わせ…内容は烏賊、鯛、漬け鯵、〆た秋刀魚
鯵の漬け具合、甘めの酢汁での秋刀魚の〆具合が秀逸
◇鴨鍋…鍋を見ても分かるように高級感はないが家庭的
ざっくりとした鍋ながら使用する鴨は野鴨なので野趣溢れる味
具のセリの清々しい事
〆は饂飩で

◇納豆オムレツ…素朴な料理ながらこれまた酒肴に最適
◇お新香…自家製の糠漬け
漬かり具合が最高
店内は宛ら酒蔵の様相で店内にいる客は皆が同じ料理を食べ、
それぞれに好きな日本酒を酌み交わすといった風情は
一仕事終わった酒蔵の職人たちが仕事場で一献傾けているかの様で
何とも言えない雰囲気を醸し出している。
大好きな日本酒が多種類呑めて
贅沢ではないが酒を飲むための酒肴がある。
酒に関して分からない事はソムリエたる主に聞けばいい。
表題の通り『これ以上を求める酒場はない』のかも…。
