The shop has about 10 counter seats, and there were already 6 customers inside when I arrived.
I bought a ticket for Shio Soba (¥900) from a slightly old ticket machine (cash only), and within just 3 minutes of sitting down, my bowl was served. The quick service surprised me, and the beautiful presentation made me excited right away.
The soup had a gentle saltiness that paired perfectly with the homemade thin noodles. The overall balance was excellent, and the more I ate, the more the umami and a quiet sense of happiness spread through my mouth.
With two types of chashu included, the price felt like great value. The thick slice of chicken breast had a subtle hint of herbs, while the thinner, more traditional-style pork chashu—though thin—still gave the satisfying feeling of eating real meat.
The two different styles of chashu together with the menma (bamboo shoots) made for a great combination.
The shop interior had an old-school ramen shop vibe, a bit worn but charming. Interestingly, I noticed about three women dining solo, which gave the place a welcoming feel.
Looking back at my photos later, I realized I missed out on the Aedama (extra seasoned noodles). I personally think Aedama is like another universe of ramen in itself—so I really wish I had tried it! Definitely a reason to come back.
The chicken paitan soba also caught my eye—next time for sure. Thank you for the great ramen!
