Patisserie Giraffe is considered one of the best cake shops in Toyama, if not the best. Its reputation has spanned decades. Located by Jinzu river, and next to another famed local soba restaurant named Daruma, Patisserie Giraffe offers rich cakes, chocolate sweets, buttery pastries, and even jams. Before COVID-19, you could enjoy your cake at the establishment over a cup of coffee or tea, but not recently. Parking is sparse, and there are many cars coming and going. If it's not too crowded, you can read the explanations of the cakes, or the chef will even explain the intricacies of his preparations, for a better appreciation of the art that goes into each cake.

パティスリージラフは富山で一番とまでは言わないまでも、最高のケーキ屋の一つとされています。その評判は何十年にもわたっています。神通川沿い、地元の有名な蕎麦屋だるまの隣にあるパティスリージラフでは、濃厚なケーキ、チョコレート菓子、バターたっぷりのペストリー、ジャムまで提供しています。コロナ禍以前は、店内でケーキをコーヒーや紅茶と一緒に楽しむことができましたが、最近はそうではありません。駐車場はまばらで、車の出入りも激しいです。混雑していなければ、ケーキの説明を読んだり、シェフがケーキ作りの複雑さを説明したりして、それぞれのケーキに込められた芸術性をより深く理解することができます。
