白金高輪駅(東京メトロ南北線,都営三田線)から歩いて12分ほどの白金北里通り沿いに,シックなたたずまいのお寿司屋さん「鮨 長島」があります。店主の新井智晴氏は,15歳から鹿児島・長島で3年間漁師として働いていた経歴の持ち主で,店名には漁師をしていた鹿児島県長島町へ恩返しをしたいという意味が込められています。元漁師の目利きによって取り寄せられた極上の素材には丁寧な江戸前の仕事が施されており,すし飯も江戸前寿司の伝統的な形式である赤酢を使った赤シャリが使われています。店内はアットホームな雰囲気が広がっており,極上のお寿司を肩肘張らずに楽しむことができます。
