初めてこの店を教えて貰ったのはかれこれ数年前になりますが、食通の先輩より「観光客向けでない本当の寿司屋に連れて行ってやる」と言われたのが切っ掛けです。それまで寿司はそこまで好きでありませんでしたが、ここで食べて以来、寿司のイメージが思いっ切り変わってしまいました。
全ての寿司に職人の細かい仕事が入っており、何を食べても美味しい。それまで「好きでない」と思っていたものが、ここで食べたら食べられたほどです。
美味しんぼという漫画のセリフじゃないですが、「本当の物を教えてやる」と言っても過言でないかも。それほどの店だと自分は思います。
今回、数か月ぶりに来店しました。

ここのお寿司は赤酢のシャリで量も少なめのため、多くのネタが楽しめます。
今日は生柳葉魚が入ったということで、生まれて初めて柳葉魚を生で食べました。北海道の一部でしか食べられないそうですが、11月は築地にも入ってくるそうです。
ここまで美味しいものを食べて飲んで、12,000円。お寿司はお金かければ幾らでも美味しいものが出てくるのは知っています。
しかし、ここまで質が良いものを、酒飲んで1万5千円以下になる寿司屋は滅多にありません。特に築地・銀座ではね。
ここを知ったら、築地の観光客向けのお寿司には、もう行けません(笑)
築地に他2店あるそうですが、そこは名前が「秀徳」と変わったそうです。しかし、本店は「紀ノ重」のままなのだとか。
※当然ながら、大人気なので予約は必須です。ふらっと来ても、まず入れないなのでご注意を。
