夏は、“東の軽井沢・西の由布院”と言われる避暑地としても名高く田園風景や森林が広がる素敵な温泉地由布院の旅館御三家として有名な"亀の井別荘"に一泊立ち寄り♪
(ちなみに他の二つは"由布院 玉の湯"と"山荘 無量塔(むらた)")
“別荘”という名の通り、もともと貴人招待用の別荘として建てられたものだそうで、訪れた人をもてなす心遣いが脈々と受け継がれていて、金鱗湖近くの苔生す森林の中にある一見素朴そうに見えながら、細部まで洗練されたこだわりのあるお宿で、値段もそこそこ張りますが、部屋の雰囲気も大浴場温泉も内風呂も部屋の庭も、そして何より真心極上なサービスも全てが素晴らしい癒し空間でした!
夜ご飯は、各お部屋で頂きますが、九州地産を中心とした素晴らしい山海の食材と工夫の凝らされた調理法で、一品一品舌鼓♪とても楽しませて頂きました。

中でも美味しかったのは、
先ずは、お造りで出てきた臼杵の天然鯛の昆布締め!豊後水道の海流で揉まれ、黒潮の豊富で美味しい餌を食べて育った鯛は身が引き締まってて味が濃厚でそれだけでも美味いが昆布締めによって更にしっとりとした旨味が加わっててなかなか素晴らしいお味でした!
同じく豊後水道のシマアジがこりこりで、でも脂がのってて絶妙な食感と旨味で美味しかった〜
鹿児島産鰻の白焼きもなかなかの一品だった。
鰻は由布院で一週間寝かせたものを炭火焼き
皮はパリッと香ばしく焼き上がってて、でも身はもちもちっとした食感で、塩と山椒で頂くと身が甘〜く感じられてこれまた美味い!
圧巻は、大分牛のフィレ肉!レア気味に焼き上げたフィレ肉は、妻をして、どこを噛んでも柔らかい♪と…箸で切れそうなぐらい凄く柔らかくて赤身の旨味を存分に味わえる秀逸なお味で素晴らしい!
付け合わせのほうれん草ポン酢はさっぱりでフィレとのアクセントが悪くない〜
食後にもう一風呂浴びて、Bar山猫で一杯頂いて、爆睡〜♪至福の時間を堪能させて頂きました。
