三連休の中日。午後から夕方にかけて宮島観光の予定で、早めのディナーを探して、こちらを予約してうかがいました。
当日。とにかく灼けるように暑く、インバウンドでごった返す中、厳島神社を参拝。その後、表参道を冷やかし、桟橋の待合室で時間調整して、お店を訪れました。5分くらいで着くのですが、表参道の奥の古くからの街に入るため、喧騒から離れたところで、風情のある中にあります。
17時過ぎに入店で、その時点では私たち1組だけ。しばらく大将独り占めでその技と料理を楽しみました。苦手だった赤貝をレモンとの組合せですっといただけるなど、一皿一皿、一貫一貫が手をかけられた光るものでした。
テンポよく食べて80分くらいであっという間にひと通り。気持ちの良い挨拶をいただき、まだインバウンドと暑さの余韻が残る中、桟橋へ、そして広島へ広電で1時間以上かけて帰りました。
