一度は来てみたかった天ぷらやましたさん、予約が必須のお店だと思いますが、北口に来たので、思い立って寄ってみました。国立駅北口から徒歩5分位、住所は国分寺、通りから少し入ったビルの2Fにあります。1Fにはやきとり屋さんとフレンチのお店があります。いずれも国立では有名なお店です。やましたさんには幸運にも入る事ができました。カウンター席で、目の前が揚場です。いただいた食事は写真の通りです。前菜やお造りなどを挿んで天ぷらが出てきます。最初にでてくる車海老の足は、新鮮なネタである事を知ってもらうために出しているそうで、かりっと揚がった足と殻と熱々の身を味わいます。どの天ぷらも敷紙には一滴も油がついていません。素晴らしい技術です。天ぷらは蒸し物だとはこれのことかと思います。季節によって変わるネタですが、幸運にもめったにお目にかかれないハゼ天が出てきて嬉しさマックス。ネタは一口サイズですが、種類が豊富なので、小柱かき揚げ丼で丁度いい具合の量です。(次回はお茶漬けにしてみよう。)国立の名店の一つであることを実感しました。ごちそうさまでした。また来たいと思います。
