The highlight of my visit was their massive unajū, featuring thick, glossy eel fillets coated in a perfectly balanced sweet soy glaze. Each bite delivered a melt-in-your-mouth texture, with the delicate balance of sweetness and charred aroma elevating the flavor to another level.
Don’t miss their homemade karasumi!
As a side dish, the karasumi (bottarga) selection was equally impressive, offering five distinct varieties. The deep, umami-packed flavors made for an exceptional pairing with sake.

神奈川屈指のうなぎの名店で贅沢なひととき✨
神奈川県小田原市・風祭駅近くにある「うなぎ亭 友栄」は、全国のうなぎ好きが訪れる名店。本店では、希少な「アオ」うなぎを使用し、ふっくら焼き上げた絶品うなぎが楽しめます。行列必至の人気店ですが、この日は11時ごろの訪問で15分ほどの待ち時間で入店できました。
豪快なうな重は、まさに至福の一品！
今回いただいたのは、贅沢すぎるほど大きなうなぎがぎっしり詰まった「うな重」。写真の通り、艶やかなタレに包まれたうなぎは、見るだけで食欲をそそります。箸を入れると、ふわっと柔らかい身がほろりと崩れ、口の中でとろけるような食感。甘みのあるタレと炭火の香ばしさが絶妙にマッチし、うなぎの旨味を存分に引き出しています✨
自家製カラスミも必食！
さらに、サイドメニューのカラスミも絶品。5種類のカラスミが味わえるセットがあり、それぞれの風味の違いを楽しめます。濃厚な旨味が詰まったカラスミは、お酒との相性も抜群！
