台湾出張時の竹北でのディナー。
先ず、白いゴーヤの料理に出会ったのは、今回が初めて。見た目の涼やかさと、ほんのりとした苦み、そこに重なる優しい味付けが印象的で、ひと口ごとに新鮮な驚きがありました。
そして、かつて九份で香りに圧倒されて断念した“臭豆腐”にも再挑戦。恐る恐る口に運んでみると…あれ?美味しい!発酵のコクとピリ辛のタレが絶妙で、気づけば箸が止まらなくなっていました。
メインの北京ダックは、やっぱり別格。パリパリの皮とジューシーな肉、甘めのタレと包む皮の組み合わせが完璧で、王道の美味しさにうっとり。
締めのデザートは、マンゴードリンクにタピオカ・グレープフルーツ果肉入り。甘さと酸味、ぷるぷる食感のバランスが心地よく、最後まで楽しい食体験でした。
