裏浅草、千束通りから一本入った所にあります。
関東の蕎麦好きは一度は訪れるであろう、蕎麦屋の名店です。
現在は木金土の予約で夜のみ営業でコースになりますので、事前に予約しておく必要があります。
以前は女将さんが接客をされていましたが、今は具合が悪いようで店頭にはおらず、ご主人と、お手伝いの年配の男性で切り盛りされている様です。
ここは10台以上の石臼を使い分けて製粉、数十種類のふるい、ご主人の魔改造によって創造された道具によって料理が作られている様です。
全ての料理、器に意味がありそうで、目で見ても楽しい食事になります。
吉原生まれで、生粋の浅草の職人、蕎麦道を地で行く80才を超えたご主人の手仕事を、今のうちに堪能しておきたくなりますね。
この店の事が書かれた上野敏彦著「蕎麦打ち一代」も読み物として面白かったです。
