益子町でも茨城県よりの山本地区にあり、道の駅を通り過ぎ、長閑な場所にひっそりと佇んでいます。
電話番号非公開で、やってるかどうかの確認が出来ないという点がありますが、ストイックな蕎麦職人の蕎麦が頂けます。
この日のメニューは、せいろ、粗挽き、平打ちの3種と、蕎麦がきの4点のみ。どれも¥1200で、かえは¥800。店主自ら手挽きで挽いた蕎麦です。
座敷とテーブル席があり、一度に2組まで入店可能、1人でも1組になり相席は無し。お客さんが多い時は結構待つ事になると思います。
早めに来て近隣を散策して、店に戻り1番のりでテーブル席に通して頂き、とりあえず蕎麦全3種と蕎麦がきを注文。
店内は掃除が行き届いていて、木の感じが良く、天井は網代編み、広い窓があり光も十分に入ってきます。
7、8分でせいろ到着。
蕎麦粉を細かく挽いた中に粗い部分もブレンドされていて、喉越しが良く蕎麦の風味がしっかりと伝わってきます。
粗挽きが到着。良い具合の粗さで野生味があり、香り、甘み共に申し分無し。美味です。個人的には今回の3種の中では粗挽きが好み。
蕎麦がきは、抜き実のみを挽いた様な思ったより繊細な印象。
最後の〆に平打ち。これも結構粗めで、平打ちならではの舌触りが良く、香り甘み共に強めで喉越しも良し。
全種美味しく、手挽きのみという贅沢な蕎麦を頂きました。
ここでは10人前を挽くのに3時間位かかるそうです。この途方もない作業をして生み出された蕎麦粉のみを使用した蕎麦はなかなか貴重だと思います。
また別の時期にも伺ってみたいですね。
