永福町で人気のジンギスカン専門店「羊はち」が高円寺にも進出。メニューは本店と同じですが、こちらも清潔で活気のある店内、カウンター&テーブル席で1人焼きもグループ利用もOKです。
この日は名物の「ジンギスカン野菜セット(ラム)」(1,250円)を中心にいろいろと注文。厚みのあるラムは驚くほど柔らかく、まったくクセがない。焼くと脂の甘みが引き立ち、北海道直送の野菜(玉ねぎ・なす・ごぼう・じゃがいも)とともにバランスよく味わえます。
「ラムタン」(980円)はコリコリとした食感が心地よく、軽く塩胡椒のみの味付けで肉の旨みがダイレクトに伝わります。「塩ハラミ」(1,380円)はジューシーかつ肉厚で、レモンを搾って食べるとさっぱりとした後味。
「草原焼き」(850円)は山盛りの春菊。軽く火を通すだけで、ラムとの相性が抜群。香りと苦味がアクセントになって、クセになります。「飲めるジンギスカン」(1,200円)はラムのひき肉を焼いて、ご飯と卵黄にのせれば“ラムそぼろ丼”に。甘辛ダレと相まって、まさに〆にもなる主役級メニューです。
テーブルにはにんにく・生姜・ごま・一味が用意されており、タレを自分好みにアレンジ可能。何通りもの味変ができ、最後まで飽きません。
「つけ麺(600円)」は味噌ベースの濃厚スープにバターとコーン。もちもちの麺とスープの相性も抜群で、焼肉店の枠を超えた完成度に驚かされます。
