JR中央本線瑞浪駅からクルマで約20分ほど。陶器の町として知られる岐阜県瑞浪市の山奥。その名も陶町(すえちょう)という集落にある、食べログ全国No.1に輝く柳家さん。嬉しいことにこの店の常連さんからお誘いをいただき、初めてうかがうことができました!
店に着くと、個室の囲炉裏に串に刺された鮎が整然と並んでお出迎え。のっけからテンション上がりっぱなしです。
まずは岐阜県東濃地方の郷土料理、蜂の子の佃煮から始まって、天然鮎の塩焼きや信州産松茸を始めとした旬の木の子、仔猪肉、仔鹿肉、天然鰻など全22品。
中でも天然鮎の塩焼きは、長良川で捕れた海産の仔持ち鮎と馬瀬川で捕れた湖産の仔持ち鮎を食べ比べるという面白い演出。味わいの素晴らしさももちろんですが、両者の違いを存分に愉しめました。
そのほかにも旨味たっぷりの仔猪ロース肉や、深い味わいが忘れられない木の子鍋など書き出すとキリがありません。
目の前の囲炉裏で焼いたり煮たりするだけの超シンプル料理がメイン。ある意味原始的とさえいえるかもしれません。
もちろん、その裏には絶妙な下ごしらえや出汁、作り込まれたタレなどの力があるのですが、囲炉裏を囲みながら最高の食材をシンプルにいただくことこそがこの店の真骨頂。ハッとするような食材とこの雰囲気はこの店でしか味わえません。
高級なフレンチや格式の高い料亭では味わえない素朴さがこの店の魅力のような気がします。
シガないリーマンの私にはおいそれと通えるような店ではありませんが、この魅力には抗えないものがあるかも。
でもねぇ、そう何度もカミさんを置き去りにして、自分だけこんなに美味いものを食べに行くのは恐ろしすぎるし…。
