2か月前から予約を入れて心待ちにしていた鳥しき
20:30までの限定の席だったので、17:30ピッタリに会社を出て18:02に到着。
まだ行燈に明かりが点っていなかったことからもわかる通り、一番乗り!
カウンターの一番奥に陣取ります。
たくさんのレビュアーさんが詳細を書かれているので、食べたものとなぜこれほどまでに評価が高いのか、という個人的な感想を。
■おまかせコース(15本でギブアップ)
お新香、さび焼、血肝、白玉、銀杏、軟骨、エリンギ、波、つくね、厚揚げ、かしわ、砂肝、小玉葱、ぼんじり、ハツ、手羽先、ちょうちん
■おみやげの焼鳥弁当@2200円
鶏そぼろの塩梅が絶妙で炭火の香ばしい香りの焼鳥がぎっしり詰まった折詰。
次の日の朝食でいただきました♪
・CPの高さ
串1本1本の完成度が高いことはもちろん、大きさを綺麗に揃えられた美しさ。塩加減のバランス。
特に砂肝、ハツ、ちょうちんとキンカンの焼き加減は本当に見事でした。
ワインを1本あけて、おみやげを含めてお会計は@9,000円。
おみやげを差し引いても7,000円弱は非常に満足度が高い。
・ドリンクがリーズナブル
目黒駅前という立地でありながら生ビール500円、焼酎500円~、日本酒700円~とリーズナブル。
ワインリストは少ないけれど値付けはかなり良心的。
・丁寧な接客
予約を取るにあたり何度も電話をしましたが、その都度女将の対応がとても丁寧。いつ電話をしても丁寧そのもの。
実際に伺うと大将も女将もとても低姿勢。「今日はお寒い中ありがとうございます」「限られた時間で申し訳ございません」と。
あれだけの席数を1人で焼き場をまかなうのですが、後ろにも目がついているんじゃないか、と思う目配り。
また帰り際に「ありがとうございました!○○様!」としっかり名前を呼んでくださいました。
満席でかつ焼き物が一杯で火と串と真剣に向き合っているのにそれが出来てしまうなんて。
予約困難店でありながらおごることがない。
ただ、2か月先まで予約がいっぱいだそうで…。焼鳥はその日、食べたい時に入れてこそ、だと思うのです。
和食やフレンチと違い、月ごとの旬の食材があればそれを楽しみに待てますが、鶏の場合は固体差と炭のバランス。
2ヶ月待って焼鳥・・・。そこがジレンマ。

前日、麻布十番の瀬尾でしたが鶏肉以外のアスパラやペコロスの焼きの技術、素材の旨さも格段上だと思いました。
