義母「喜寿」のお祝いで利用
荻窪駅周辺の喧騒を抜け、路地を1本入った所に”隠れ家的”な『御料理 坂ぐち』はある。
打ち水が放たれた玄関へと続く小路をすすみ店内に入ると、お香のいい匂いに包まれた。凛とした空気流れる上品かつ静寂な空間。先ほどまでが嘘のような静けさだ。
客座はカウンター5~6席、個室二間でこじんまりとしている。
今回は慶事での利用のため個室をお願いしたが、店主と距離が近いカウンターも愉しいことだろう。座敷(畳敷き)にはテーブル・椅子が配置され、足が不自由な方にも優しい造りとなっている。伝統を重んじながら、時代に即したものを取り入れていることにも、客人に対する姿勢が感じられ心地よい。
料理はお任せのコース料理が中心。昼は基本的に予約制を取っているそうだ。
今回は¥8000~でお願いをしたが、昼は松華堂弁当(¥3000)や手軽なコースなら¥5000~でも出来るという。
腰の低い店主自らが、料理、接客、飲物のサーブなどにも気を配っているのが感じられる。開店して1年半を迎えるそうだが、その姿勢を貫いている限り、必ずや評判の店になっていくであろう。

店主は1974年(昭和49年)岐阜県飛騨市古川生まれ。
高山の老舗料亭への修業を皮きりに、料理の世界へ。
京都 祇園丸山、また、インド総領事館では公邸料理人として勤務した後、東京にて修業を続け38歳の時、女将のゆかりのある荻窪に、御料理「坂ぐち」をオープン。

四季折々の素材を使った料理は、懐石の心(おもてなし)が息づき、目にも鮮やかで美しい。流石に老舗料亭や京都祇園丸山あたりの、舌の肥えた客人を相手にしていただけあり秀逸な味わい。
出汁がしっかりと効いた汁もの、ひと手間も、ふた手間も手を加え、客の興味をぐいぐいと引き込む料理が続く。食道楽(?)としては、初めての料理に出会える喜びを存分に感じることが出来る。
夜のコースには、酒をゆっくり愉しむ御仁用なのか?炭水化物抜きの「晩酌コース」(¥5500~)も用意され、次回の訪問を誘(いざな)う。
退店の時、外まで店主自らが見送りに出られ、客が路地を曲がるまで頭(こうべ)を垂れていた。
隠れ家のままで… こういった店の常連になれたら愉しいことだろう。そう思わせる良店だった。
