浅草の名店「吾妻橋薮そば」で「江戸の粋」を愉しんだ後、浅草~向島~両国~深川~森下~門前仲町~月島と、3時間半掛けてゆっくりとお散歩を愉しむ。
(この日は結局、25,107歩 19.6km 消費kcal 864kcalに終わった)
夕方、親愛なる友が、名店「流石のはなれ」で腕を揮っていた、若き天才蕎麦職人の矢守氏が開店した店の予約を入れてくれ、喜び勇んで待合わせ場所へと向かう。いつもの人懐っこい笑顔の友と合流、一杯だけ喉を潤し友の先導で「隠れ家」へと歩(あゆみ)を進める。
通称「もんじゃ通り」から、猫がのんびりと腹を出して寝転んでいるような路地に、目指す店『由庵 矢もり』はあった。
店内には白木の高級感が漂うカウンター。奥には厨房と手引きの石臼が置いてあるのがみえる。店主と笑顔で挨拶を交わす友。予定より早い時刻の訪問だったが、返ってゆっくり愉しめると「赤★」を早速開けてもらい…
料理はコースのみ。何件かのブログや口コミ投稿からの予習に寄れば、「蕎麦前」数品と蕎麦料理が3品ほど供される様だ。

当日は座敷に1組と、我々以外はカウンターの1組だけゆえ、店主との距離も近く会話を愉しみながら酒肴(蕎麦前)を愉しめた。
いずれも丁寧な仕事ぶり伺える料理の数々。薄味ながら出汁がしっかりと効いて秀逸な出来栄え。
店主曰く「うちは客と話をしながら愉しんでもらうタイプ。しかし幾ら此方から話し掛けても、相槌程度で話しに乗って来ない方もいる。挙句に「食べログ」上に打ってもいない”田舎そば”とか書かれてしまって(苦笑)」*誰ででょう?(笑)
「食べログ」に投稿している方々の多分9割以上は「ズブの素人」(当然私自身も)なので、店主の苦悩も判るような気がする。
「判らなければ聞いてくれればいいのに!適当に書かれると本当に…」気を付けよう…(自己反省)
蕎麦の産地も教えてくれたが、他の会話に埋もれて失念。
蕎麦料理は3品が供された。季節の野菜と合された「蕎麦サラダ」、出汁が上品な温かい「あさりそば」、そして〆は「せいろ」だ。天才と言われるだけあって、蕎麦は香りも高く喉越しも佳い。実に秀逸な出来栄えだ。
日本酒の品揃えも豊富。初めて呑んだ酒もあり愉しい愉しい3時間。

敷居が高そうで、初めてだと緊張してしまうかも知れないが、店主の優しいお人柄とトークを愉しめる店。近々、家人と再訪を企てよう!
