With my office nearby, I'd been curious about this place for a while. This sushi spot suddenly appeared under Shibuya's elevated tracks and made quite an impact...!
Connected to Shibuya Stream, it's just a minute's walk from Shibuya Station's ground level exit. Honestly, I expected a noisy izakaya vibe since it stays open till morning, but the interior was brand new, clean, non-smoking, and a lovely space. Even though it's in Shibuya, it's not on the main street, so the clientele wasn't bad either.
Even though it's a sushi place, they have a rich menu beyond just sushi, including lots of creative sushi options. Little quirks like applying soy sauce with a brush were refreshing and fun. I forgot to take a photo, but personally, I loved the sesame-crusted amberjack. You can order sushi by the piece, so it feels easy to adjust the quantity and cost.
They have a great selection of sake, with many options approachable even for beginners. Since it's sushi, it might be worth giving sake a try even if you're not usually a fan.
Sushi restaurants can sometimes feel intimidating price-wise, but this place is reasonably priced and flexible, making it one of the more accessible options for sushi dining.
