【2011.11】
海外から久々に帰国した知人にこちらの焼魚を食べてもらいたくて案内しました。
日本酒も好きな御仁なので喜んでもらったことは言うまでもなし。
平日なのに調子にのって枡酒5杯いっちゃいました(笑)
酒は神鷹一種のみ。
おねだりした岩塩がこれまたよく合う。
この夜は塩分過多な一日となりました。
【2011.10】
四谷荒木町の良心といえる店だと思います。
断言しかねるのは、いつもこの店の正しい喧騒に巻き込まれかなりご機嫌で店を後にするからです。
正しい喧騒って、
・テーブル席・カウンター席個別の客たちの会話のうねりが音として変に交じり合っていないこと
・調理場やお運びの姐さんらのオーダーの会話や音がこれまた客の会話を邪魔しない
・加えて当店は店内の木造の内装がうまく音を吸収していること
そう、これらの音のバランスなんです。
単に煩いだけ、威勢がいいだけ、乱雑な調理場の雑音は、やはり耳障りです。
でも酒場ならではのこの喧騒、
自分が身を置いていいなと思えるときは波長が、店とそこにいる客とシンクロしているんですな。
こんなときは軽く一杯のつもりでも(いつもそう言っているけど)流れに任せて食べて話して酔うのが一番。
逆に意味無く合わないときはさっさと出るか、出直すのか。
自分の体調不良もあるだろうし、波長が合わない店もあるでしょう。
音というものに過敏(特に左耳)な自分にとって、よくよく考えるとこのポイントは重要かもと再認識。
過去にレビューしてきたお気に入りの店はやはりそういうポイントでも自分の感性を心地良く刺激して
くれる店(=客=調理人)なんだろう。

一年に1~2回程度お邪魔してしまうお店です。
デジカメも持たない時代にもお邪魔してまして、帰り際にお店の方にデジカメでしっかり撮られて
翌日のお店のHPに泥酔したマヌケ顔が大きな赤提灯と共にUpされている、そんなお店でしたが
今はそのサービス(?)はやってないみたいです。
こういう場合、「本人(無意識ながら)了承済み」との但し書きが必要ですね(笑)
久々の訪問です。
金曜とは言え相変わらずの満員御礼状態ながら、日ごろの行いの良い我々ブラザーは入口のカウンター
端席を確保。荒木町のヌシの自認するA氏もすぐにシンクロしたみたいで徐々に盛り上がります。
店内は煙でもうもう。タバコじゃありません(当店禁煙)、旬の秋刀魚の脂はスゴイのです。
しかし、煙にむせぶ客の顔が男女を問わず楽しそう。
会話が渦巻くなかで歯切れの良い大将の声もいいアクセントです。
女将さんの合いの手も何だか艶っぽい気がしてきたな。
秋刀魚塩焼が真横の炉端で10尾も焼かれているのに、既に品切れ。
鯖の塩焼、銀鱈のつけ焼に枡酒が止まらない。
ポテサラ、新じゃが煮っ転がしにタコ刺・まぐろ指し刺身に大瓶が止まらない。
この夜も一軒では収まらず近所のBarで止まらない夜になってしまったのでした。
