台北・廸化街(ディーホアジエ)、永樂(ヨンラー)布業市場。
最近建て替えて綺麗になった、繊維関係を中心とした鉄筋コンクリートのマーケットです。
階段を上っていくと、台北の皆さんにはつとに有名なおこわのお店「林油飯」さんがあります。
朝から賑わうこのお店、店頭には炊き上がったばかりの油飯(中華おこわ)がどんどん運ばれ、湯気のたつなか、折りに詰められていきます。
台湾でも本来南部に多い「米糕」(ミーガオ)の場合は、円筒の型に入れておこわを蒸しあげるけれども、この油飯の場合は蒸すことはせずに、炊きたてほやほや。
要は、台湾ご当地の醤油や、ガラなどの出汁が効いた「おこわ」と思えば良いでしょうね。
ベースの油飯は、1斤(600g/TWD90)、半斤だとTWD45だというから安いもの。
上にのせる具は、鷄脚(鶏もも/TWD70)、魯蛋(煮たまご、TWD40)、それに、椎茸は何も言わなくてもどっさり。
半斤に全部のせの綜合でも、日本円で500円程度なのですから、リーズナブルですね。
その場ですぐ食べても、もちろん最高に旨い!
台湾の餅米文化は凄いものだと、つくづく。
みなさん、職場やご家庭に持ち帰るようですが、例えば我々旅行者が帰国日に買い込んで、機内で食べたり、あるいは家に帰ってから速攻で、土産話と一緒に食べたりもできますね。
ちなみに、台湾の便當(弁当)は、買ったその場での品質保証が原則。
くれぐれも、暑い時季に無理は禁物です。
