2019年9月。
18時からの予約で、バンコクの『Gaa』に行ってきました。
実は何ヶ月も前から向かいにある『Gaggan』の予約を取っていた
のですが、旅に出る3週間程前にいきなりお店からメールが。
「1週間後の8/24に閉店しますので、8/25以降の予約はキャンセル
とさせて頂きます」と。。。ガガーン!
(それならバンコク経由せずに直接ヨーロッパに行ったのにw)
そういうワケで急遽姉妹店の『Gaa』に変更した次第。
(日本じゃまず考えられない話ですが。。。)
ま、そこはいいとして、
18時にオープンし、順番にテーブルに案内。
店内はやや暗めで落ち着いた雰囲気です。メニューをチェックして
テイスティングメニュー&ワインペアリングをお願いしました。
・Tasting Menu:3,200 baht
・Gaa Wine Pairing:3,000 baht
(他のメンバーはNon-Alcoholic Pairingを注文。1,200 baht)
Noma等で修業されていただけあって、ソフトドリンクペアリング

○バラの香付けをしたドラゴンフルーツのジュース

○きゅうり・バジル
○バナナ水(バナナブレッドと一緒に)
○コンブ茶・茄子
○タイのジャスミンの香付けをしたココナッツウォーター
どの料理もインパクトがあって美味しかったのですが、自分が一番
気に入ったのは、ビジュアル的に一番シンプルなヤングコーンかも。
コーンホリックなのでコレは仕方ありませんね。四人分全て食べた
かったくらいw
他にもザリガニやジャックフルーツのプレートがワインにピッタリ
合っていて、美味しさ倍増でした♪
タイとインド料理をミックスした感じなのかな〜と想像していたの
ですが、特にスパイスをプッシュし過ぎてる感じでもなく、優しい
味わいの料理が多くて癒されました。
スタッフも皆さんフレンドリーで、リラックスして食事できたのも
良かったです。
ごちそうさまでした!
ではタクシーで空港に戻り、次の目的地ヨーロッパに向かいま~す。
