背脂って、男のロマンだと思う。
山手通りを歩いていたら、ふわっと漂う香りに吸い寄せられて…
「平太周 味庵」へ到着。ここは、都内でも有名な“背脂チャッチャ系”の聖地。
■ 特製ラーメン（¥1,000）
丼の上を覆い尽くす真っ白な背脂。その下に隠れた醤油スープは、鋭いキレとコク。
レンゲで口に運べば、背脂の甘みと醤油のコクがまろやかに混ざり合って、もう抗えない。
中太のストレート麺はスープをしっかりと拾い、ずるずると快感が止まらない。
チャーシューは厚みも脂ものっていて、箸でホロッと崩れる柔らかさ。
味玉もメンマも海苔も、抜かりなし。
今回は「ニンニク多め」にしたけれど、これが大正解。
パンチが効いてるのに後味はしつこくない。背脂の優しさとニンニクの鋭さが良いバランス。
■ チャーシュー丼ミニ（＋味玉）
ご飯の上に広がるチャーシュー。
そこに味玉とスープを少しかければ、即席のラーメン茶漬け的な背徳飯に。
ビールがあれば、これはもう立派な“昼のご褒美セット”。
客層も幅広く、女性の一人客が多かったのも印象的。
“ガッツリ”だけじゃなく“クセになる”という意味で、ここのラーメンは一線を画す。
次は、14時以降限定の「爆盛油脂麺」にも挑戦したい。
背脂に溺れたい気分の日には、ぜひ。
