神楽坂から見番横丁へ折れて石段の坂道の半ばにある。元は一軒家の民家、それから医院、料理屋を経て2024年虎白になった。とても風情のある店構えに全面的に手を入れてある。店内にBGMはなく、水の音に加えて50種類の「調理の音」をサンプリングしてミックスした音がかすかに聞こえてくる。とても上質な音環境だ。照明は、外光の明るさに応じて自動的に照度が調整される。庭が見えるのも広がりを感じる。苔のために、フルオートで状態に応じた霧が出る。これも雰囲気がある。
グラスシャンパーニュで乾杯。日本酒は勝駒純米酒、万齢純米大吟醸おりがらみ生原酒。

空間も料理も贅沢。いつ訪れても毎度違った出会いがあり飽きさせない。小泉さんの、王道の和食に創意工夫を加えた自在なる料理の境地は、本当に素晴らしい。
